Supreme Court of Kentucky will dedicate portrait of Justice Graves on February 10

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KFVS) - The Supreme Court of Kentucky will dedicate a portrait of retired Justice John William Graves on Tuesday, February 10, in Frankfort, Kentucky.

The event is open to the public and will take place at the Administrative Office of the Courts, 1001 Vandalay Drive at 1 p.m.

Justice Graves was elected from Western Ky. and served on the Supreme Court from 1995-2006. Before, he served as a district judge and a circuit judge for McCracken County.

Speakers at the event will include:

  • Chief Justice of the Commonwealth Debra Hembree Lambert
  • Chief Justice Joseph E. Lambert (retired)
  • Court of Appeals Judge Sara Walter Combs
  • Justice Graves
  • Portrait artist, Fred Biggs

Biggs and Justice Graves’ wife and son will present the portrait.
