Missouri Department of Transportation announces changes to busy intersection in Jackson

JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation shared design concepts and improvements for the intersection of Donna Dr. and Jackson Blvd.

The meeting was held at the regional library in Jackson, Mo. on February 5.

The designs include widening Highway 61 with right turn lanes, along with replacing lights and signs.

MoDOT says that the addition of sidewalks and crosswalks will also benefit pedestrians.

Work is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2027 and is expected to be completed in the winter.
