JACKSON, Tenn. (KFVS) - The Jackson Police Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are investigating an officer-involved shooting.
According to JPD, officers responded to a call in the area of 433 E. Lafayette Street at approximately 1:41 p.m. on February 1.
Officers found a 41-year-old man with a firearm. During the encounter, the man was shot by officers.
The man was transported to an area hospital and is in critical condition. No officers were injured in the encounter.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been contacted and will investigate the incident due to officers being involved.
