POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center will host a series of heart-focused events throughout February in honor of American Heart Month.
Heart to Heart: Coffee & Conversations for Women:
The women-only gathering will include open conversations about heart health and the unique risks women face.
Leona Bergen, ACNP, will lead the discussion.
The event will take place at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Oak Grove Classroom on Friday, February 6, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Participants are also encouraged to wear red for National Wear Red for Women Day.

Heart Health Seminar:
PBRMC will host a seminar with a panel of cardiovascular experts. Discussions will include heart disease prevention, the latest treatments and a Q&A.
Free health screenings and resources will be available.

The event will take place at the Holiday Inn Ballroom in Poplar Bluff on Friday, Feb. 20, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

PBRMC is raising money for heart disease research and community programs.
Heart month t-shirts are available for purchase. Proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association.
