SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - Southeast Missouri Food Bank will launch its annual You CAN Fight Hunger campaign in February, encouraging the community to donate canned food.
The most-needed items include canned fruits, vegetables, soups, fish, beans and meat.
During February, you can drop off canned food donations at the following locations:
- Aurora Medical Spa
- Board and Brush
- Cape Public Library
- Christian School for the Young Years
- Community Counseling Center locations
- Discovery Playhouse
- Focus Bank locations in Charleston, East Prairie, and Sikeston
- Jackson Dental
- Magnum Ice Cream Company
- Mitchell Insurance
- Montgomery Bank locations in Cape Girardeau, Jackson, and Sikeston
- Notre Dame Regional High School
- Southern Bank locations in Cape Girardeau
- StevMark
- Sterling Pharmacy
- The Bank of Missouri locations in Cape Girardeau, Jackson and Scott City
President and CEO of SEMO Food Bank, Joey Keys, said, “This campaign is an opportunity for our community to help restock pantry shelves with nutritious, shelf-stable items — foods families can take home and use right away.”
Community members can also donate online at semofoodbank.org. According to SEMO Food Bank, $1 helps provide four meals.
