KENTUCKY (KFVS) - In response to the winter storm, the Salvation Army of Kentucky and Tennessee established an Emergency Disaster Services team in hard-hit areas.

Four mobile kitchen units will serve communities across seven counties:

Kentucky: Barren, Monroe and Allen counties

Tennessee: Sumner, Robertson, Clay and Macon counties

Meal services are scheduled to begin on Thursday, January 29. Lunch and dinner will be provided daily in impacted communities as long as the need continues.

Incident Commander for the Salvation Army, Mark Hunter, said, “Our mission is to bring comfort, strength, and hope to our neighbors who are still enduring the storm’s aftermath.”
