CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Music, costumes and the bravery of volunteers helped raise money for Special Olympics Missouri athletes.
The 2026 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Missouri’s Cape Girardeau event took place on February 7 at Cape County Park North at 10 a.m.

All plungers were required to raise $75 to participate, but the registration fee counts toward that minimum.
According to organizers, more than 200 volunteers plunged on Saturday.
