CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - Tickets are now available for the Celebrate Women event at SIU on Thursday, March 26, sponsored by the Carbondale Branch of the American Association of University Women.
The event will recognize the successes of women, present scholarships and raise funds for the next generation of women. This year’s theme is “Champions Beyond the Scoreboard: Women in Sport.”
Executive Director of the SIU Alumni Association, Molly Hudgins, will be the guest speaker.
The event will begin at 4:45 p.m. with a silent auction. A light dinner reception will follow at 5 p.m., along with an awards presentation where student scholarship winners will be announced.
The event will take place at the Glenn Poshard Transportation Education Center in the Southern Illinois Airport.
Tickets are now available for $30 per person or $150 for a table of six. SIU students can purchase tickets for $15. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Martha Ellert at msellert@aol.com or 618-521-0613.
