Family Reading Night at the Carbondale Public Library on January 29

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - The Carbondale Public Library will host a Community Helpers Family Reading Night on Thursday, January 29.

Members of the Jackson County Ambulance Service, Carbondale Police Department, Carbondale City employees and others will read books to children and families.

According to the library, the goal of the event is to connect children and families with helpers in the community while also encouraging reading.

The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
