CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Springtime is when a lot of people feel like getting organized and catching up on important tasks.
An upcoming event will help check off some of the items related to health.
The free 2025 Health and Wellness Expo is happening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 at the Osage Centre in Cape Girardeau.
Organizers say there will be more than 80 vendors, educational booths, cooking and fitness demonstrations and wellness screenings.
There will also be a room focusing just on children’s health and wellness, including fun activities.

The first 200 people will receive goodie bags, and drawings for attendance prizes will take place throughout the event.
Christine Jaegers with the city of Cape Girardeau said she’s been part of the event for 11 years.
“It’s getting bigger and bigger, and we’re learning what’s fun and exciting that we can bring to the public,” Jaegers said. “It’s a great way to get a little bit of everything, all in one.”
The event is also a chance to meet with local healthcare providers in person, try out services and sample products.
New this year, a Health & Wellness Kick-Off Walk is taking place at 8:30 a.m.
The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting the one-mile walk at the Osage Centre Trailhead. Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m.
