Saluki Con 2025 to come to SIU Carbondale this weekend

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - Saluki Con is coming back to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale this weekend.

According to SIU, the event is a celebration of the incredible worlds of Science, Technology, Arts, Humanities, and Comics. Whether you’re a die-hard comic fan, a tech enthusiast, a lover of the arts, or a science aficionado, Saluki Con has something exciting for you.

Saluki Con will take place on Saturday, February 15 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday, February 16 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at the SIU Student Center in Carbondale.

Weekend festivities will be kicked off with a gaming event on Friday, February 14, from 4-9 p.m. To participate in the gaming event, you will need a Saluki Con ticket or a current SIUC student ID.

Other festivities will include star-studded panels, workshops and demonstrations, exhibitors and vendors, a cosplay contest, and networking opportunities.

SIU says Sean Astin will appear as a special speaker on Saturday night. Sean will only appear on Saturday night and will not be on the con floor. A Saluki Con pass plus Special Speaker add-on will be needed for entry.

Other special guests for Saluki Con include actor Dan Payne, comic creator Kyle Starks, artist Brad Moore, comic creator Zac Atkinson, and artist Sean Dulaney.
