DEXTER, Mo. (KFVS) - A new tradition very well may have been born in Dexter, Missouri.

The inaugural 130-foot Christmas tree lighting happened at Autry Morlan Chevrolet in Dexter on Saturday, December 7.

The lights were powered by one of their electric vehicles. This was a “Griswold”-themed event.

The lighting was inspired by a scene on National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, which came out in 1989.
