Otte called the event “a concert with all-fabulous and local organists and musicians.”
“We had a great turnout last year,” she said. “The talent is enormous...when do you get to hear an organ played anymore, and one that is this ginormous?”
According to the university, the organ was installed in the auditorium in 1970. It was designed by a former professor, Marianne Webb, and renamed for her in 2001.

With 3,312 pipes, Dr. James Reifinger said the Marianne Webb Pipe Organ is the largest instrument in the region.
“It has an otherworldliness quality to it, it sustains sounds, it can make a variety of sounds, it’s a very versatile instrument.”
