AQS Quilt Week in Paducah underway

PADUCAH, Ky. (HEARTLAND WEEKEND) - The American Quilter’s Society’s Quilt Week is underway.

Quilt Week started on Wednesday, April 24 and runs through Friday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention and Expo Center, 415 Park Avenue.

You can find classes and demonstrations, vendors and exhibits, contests and more.

The Paducah Convention and Visitors Bureau, along with community members, will provide complimentary shuttle service to participating hotels during Quilt Week. Organizers say Paducah Area Transit System offers several options to get around the city.

During Quilt Week, the Paducah Quilt Show at Floral Hall will return for its second year. It will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 23-27 at “The Fairgrounds” in Carson Park. Admission is $3, with $1 from every ticket donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

It will feature 19 vendors, as well as an antique quilt exhibit curated by Michael Meadows of Folk Lodge Antiques.
