Trillium Trail: The best spring wildflower hiking spot in southern Illinois

MAKANDA, Ill. (HEARTLAND WEEKEND) – On Saturday, April 1, Saturday, April 8 and Friday, April 14, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy the beauty of spring in southern Illinois during the spring wildflower walks at Giant City State Park.

According to a release from Giant City State Park, Trillium Trail is one of the most diverse spring wildflower trails in southern Ill.

During the spring wildflower walks, a park interpreter will be a guide as guests hike the trail to see the flowers.

The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
