‘Fries with a Firefighter’ event raises nearly $2K for West Frankfort Fire Dept.

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (KFVS) - Many participated in the “Fries with a Firefighter” fundraising for the West Frankfort Fire Department on Thursday night, February 23.

Hosted at the West Frankfort McDonald’s, the event, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., raised $1,949.09.

Organizers say 100 percent of cookie sales and a percentage of overall proceeds will be donated to the fire department.

Firefighters took orders, worked the kitchen and shared a meal with the community. Also, fire trucks and other emergency vehicles were on site for community members to tour.
