If you love craft beer, then the month of July is all about you!
The Missouri Craft Brewers Guild has declared July as Show-Me Craft Beer Month.
Did you know there are over 100 craft breweries in Missouri alone?
It’s true!
According to the Brewers Association, more than 11 million gallons of craft beer was brewed in Missouri in 2018!
That’s enough for every Missourian 21 and older to enjoy 2 gallons of beer each!
So, what makes a craft brewer?
In Missouri, they’re small which is defined as producing 6 million barrels of beer or less each year.
They’re also federally licensed with an Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau Brewer’s Notice and are actually making beer.
And one of them calls Cape Girardeau home.
Minglewood Brewery, which is located in downtown Cape Girardeau, is part of the guild.
At Minglewood, you can enjoy any one of their six year-round beers at any time:
- Fat Monk
- Kölsch
- Chocolate Stout
- SEMOsaic IPA
- Elmer IPA
- DDH Satellite NEIPA
They’ve also got several small batch special releases on tap.
