Marvel-themed land to open in 2020 at Disney’s California Adventure Park

Disney fans, we have some great news for you!

We’ve learned that Disney’s California Adventure in Anaheim will begin its massive superhero recruitment effort this year!

A spokesperson for Disney says phase 1 of the new land will open by 2020.

However, no word yet on a specific opening date.

The building once home to the “It’s Tough to be a Bug” 3-D movie in the Animal Kingdom will feature the new Spider-Man attraction.

In fact, guests will be given a web-shooter of their own to use!

The ride appears to be mostly screen-based (likely 3D in nature). Doctor Strange has his own show experience where guests will meet the Avenger in a round courtyard.

And, be sure to bring your appetite!

There will be dining options nearby as well as an Ant-Man themed microbrewery!

Provided that everything goes as planned, California Adventure’s massive superhero expansion will hit sometime next year.

Meanwhile, guests can already experience some Marvel magic at “Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT!” at the park.
