Guide to choose and cut Christmas tree farms in the Heartland

Who doesn’t like a fresh cut Christmas tree?

In fact, for many families making a trip to a choose and cut farm is an annual holiday tradition.

Heartland Weekend takes you to Meier Horse Shoe Pines where the magic of a Christmas tree is rooted in meaningful family experiences.

Owners, Steve and Teresa Meier, raised their three sons while growing the trees and farm. Today, you can even find their grandchildren running around.

Since planting their first tree in 1981, Meier Horse Shoe Pines has grown into a Christmas destination for southeast Missouri folks.

Good news: If you’re planning a Heartland Weekend holiday adventure, we have you covered.
