That’s why The Life Center for Independent Living hosted an Easter egg hunt for children with disabilities.
The idea: give these children the chance to find eggs and partake in Easter fun without fear of their disability getting in the way.

Virginia Colgin said this is the third year in a row her family has attended the event. She says it’s a blessing to see her daughter Sophia feel welcomed without it being too overwhelming. Sophia can be herself.
Executive Director Tim Azinger says the hope is for these youth to always feel treasured.
