Escape the cold: Guide to wineries open for winter sipping

If you thought visiting a winery was an activity only reserved for the spring and summer months, think again.

You can escape the cold this Heartland Weekend to wineries all over the area.

That list includes Apple Creek Vineyard and Winery.

This family owned estate vineyard is located along the banks of Apple Creek in rural Cape Girardeau County.

It’s actually only three miles from Interstate 55, but here you can easily withdraw from the hustle and bustle. The tasting room overlooks fresh water that runs clear all year long, making it a perfect destination in the winter.

Heartland Weekend suggests you stop by on a Friday evening for Steak Night. Yes, we’re talking a juicy ribeye and all the fixings. CLICK HERE to reserve your spot.

Or when the weather outside is a tab bit frightful, you can enjoy winter sipping at one of these other wonderful wineries.
