11 bands, two days: Shipyard Music Festival expands for year two

11 national touring bands, days of live music, 1 stage

Two full days of live music, a lot of food and drink, and a celebration of community will take over downtown Cape Girardeau in late September. The Shipyard Music Festival is returning for year two on Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28.

The live music event will feature 11 nationally touring acts.

Most importantly though, organizers say the Shipyard aims to bring people together through food, cheer, and song.

6:15 pm – American Aquarium
7:45 pm – Colony House
9:15 pm – Jukebox the Ghost

The lineup features an eclectic mesh of pop and rock and roll.

Chances are good, you’ll find a band that fits your fancy.

The two-day music festival is held in and around Ivers Square in downtown Cape Girardeau. The main entrance is located at the intersection of Broadway and Lorimier.

The concert will go on rain or shine on Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28.

Tickets are on sale now.

General admission is $30 to see all 11 acts on both days.

VIP Passes are $100 and get you into the music festival both days with on-site parking, complimentary appetizers, free drink tickets, access to a special VIP area, commemorative swag. VIP tickets are only good for adults 21 and over.

Kids 10 and under are free with a ticketed adult.
