Say cheers to a celebration of heritage at the Big Muddy Brew Fest.
Good times and cold brews will take over Riverside Park in Murphysboro on Saturday, Oct. 5 from noon to 4 p.m.
The annual event raises a glass to the history of beer brewing in southern Illinois and the growth of craft beer.
On tap this year, you’ll be able to sample brews from around 80 breweries.
The Boat Drunks are set to provide entertainment and live music.
New this year: the Big Muddy Brew Fest is offering FREE bus rides to Brews Brothers Taproom in Murphysboro, IL and Tres Hombres in Carbondale, IL.
The buses will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. All you have to do is hop on the bus at either location to get to and from the Brew Fest.
Organizers say each craft beer has a unique interpretation and story, and this is a chance for folks to create their own story.
