Paducah’s National Quilt Museum makes top 10 list of best Kentucky attractions

Some of QuiltWeek's best share their secrets to success.

When you think of Kentucky, things like bourbon, horses, and the color blue all come to mind.

But in the Heartland, we know quilting and Kentucky are nearly synonymous.

That’s because Paducah is home to the annual Quilt Week, the country’s largest quilt show.

There you’ll also find the National Quilt Museum, the largest museum in the world solely devoted to quits and fiber arts.

In fact, readers of USA Today named the quilt museum as one of Kentucky’s best attractions.

It came in at number 4 on the list of 10, behind the National Corvette Museum, Old Friends at Dream Chase Farm, and the Louisville Mega Cavern.

Readers even picked the quilt museum over Churchill Downs.

Visitors can enjoy three galleries of art that are rotated about 7-8 times per year. That means there is always something new to see.
