It is peach season in the Heartland.
Each year, the Village of Cobden celebrates the juicy fruit.
There the star of the event is turned into peach cobbler.
Heartland Weekend caught up with a long-time peach cobbler maker Mary Weakley, and she shared her secret to success.
Her golden rule: you must use fresh peaches. Canned will not do.
Weakley says she doesn’t really follow a recipe. She does it all by taste.
But she did share with us the ingredients for the inside.
