This Heartland Weekend you can trade your vodka cranberry or whiskey and coke for a hand crafted cocktail.
Steven Rubert, a mixologist at Gabriel’s Food + Wine, revealed the No. 1 tip to shaking up a perfect drink.
The key is balance.
Like in a beautiful cosmo, you wouldn’t want the vodka to overpower the cranberry juice.
Lucky for us, Rubert is actually teach how to create cocktails in series of mixology classes at Gabriel’s Food + Wine.
The classes include hands-on instruction for three drinks, and a full meal. Call 573-803-2449 to reserve your spot.
Even better news: Rupert gave us the recipe to make a cosmo and a French 75 at home.

1 ounce cranberry juice
