The fun will get started around 8 a.m. at the Redman Creek Recreation Area at Wappapello Lake on Saturday, March 23.

The idea: celebrate the regions rich timber industry with some fierce timber sports competitions.

Both talented locals and industry professionals will come together for incredible feats of strength.

The fun for spectators begins at 9:30 a.m.

You can look forward to the very popular springboard competition.

It requires true talent, skill and stamina as competitors chop through a 12″ log at the top of the pole while balancing seven to eight feet in the air.

Other traditional competitions include the single buck, ax throw, standing chop, and underhand chop.

The fast-paced chainsaw competitions will amaze you as contenders win by as little as seconds!
