Easter is April 21, 2019 and we’ve got plenty of fun events for you to check out before then.


Saturday, April 6

2nd Annual Easter Event at the Gordonville Fire Protection District | Gordonville
Kids of all ages are welcome at this free event. There will be an egg hunt for kids up to 3 years old at 12:15. Then, at 1 p.m. there will be an egg drop. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures from noon until 2 p.m. The kids are also invited for a kiddie train rain. Don’t forget to bring your Easter basket!

Bring the kids out to meet the Easter Bunny at VF OUTLET located at Sikeston Outlet Stores from 1pm-3pm. Bring your cameras or cell phones for this FREE event!

Sunday, April 7

Easter Egg Hunt at Fitness Plus | Cape Girardeau
The hunt begins at 2:15 p.m. Please bring your basket and camera. This event is for ages 10 and under. Members/Member Affiliates: FREE Nonmembers: $3.

Thursday, April 11

Easter Egg Hunt with Sikeston Parks & Recreation | Sikeston
Join us for our second annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Recreation Complex! The hunt(s) will be on the soccer fields and are FREE. This event is for kids 10 & under and there are a guaranteed 1500 eggs per age group. Also, don’t forget a basket! The hunt times are as follows:
6:10pm: 3 & under: parents may assist*
6:15pm: 6 & 7
6:30pm: 4 & 5
6:40pm: 8 – 10

Saturday, April 13

Pictures with the Easter Bunny | Jackson
Head over to Southern Bank on West Jackson Boulevard for a free photo with the Easter Bunny. There will also be live bunnies, goodie bags, snacks & drinks, and lots of activities!

Easter Eggstravaganza hosted by First Baptist Church | Jackson
Bring your kids and enjoy this FREE event with bounce houses, big prizes, and a huge Easter Egg hunt! Sugar Chic Creamery will also be there for all your ice-cream needs. If it rains, we will have the event at the same location the following day (Sunday, April 14).

Sunday, April 14

Easter Egg Hunt with Communities of Country Place | Scott City
Come spend the day with us at Country Place! Annual Easter egg hunt with prize eggs and your kiddos can have a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny himself. Kenny’s Flipping Burgers and Kona Ice will be making an appearance starting at 11:00! Cara Hill Photography will also be offering spring photo sessions after lunch.

Saturday, April 20

Easter Block Party | Cape Girardeau
A fun and FREE time for families hosted by the Apostolic Promise Church. Many activities, games and bounce houses. Many giveaways! Come join the fun!

Safari Egg Hunt at the Zoo | Cape Girardeau
The egg hunts will run from noon until 4 p.m. The Easter Bunny will also be at the zoo! Admission is $9 for adults, $7 for kids, and kids under age 2 get in free.

Easter Egg Hunt | Gordonville
Plenty of eggs for all! The hunting starts at 10 a.m. Children ages 12 and under are invited to participate. Hunts will be divided by age group. Adults, bring your mugs. Coffee will be available.

Easter Egg Hunt at Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site  | New Madrid
Children ages 3-10 are invited to hunt candy-filled eggs at 11 a.m. The Easter egg hunt is free and open to the public. Bring your own basket or bag and search for more than 1,500 candy-filled eggs. Children will be divided into four age groups and prizes will be awarded after the hunt. In case of inclement weather, the hunt will be canceled. The historic site is located at 312 Dawson Road in New Madrid. Call 573-748-5340 for more information.

2019 Community Easter Egg Hunt | Poplar Bluff
The 2019 Community Easter Egg Hunt Presented by the Palace of Praise Church will be on Saturday, April 20. There will be three different age group hunts: 0-3 at 10:30am – field #1; 4-6 at 10:50am – field #2;
7-10 at 11:10am – field #3.

Easter Palooza | Sikeston
Come join us for an egg hunt, crafts, games, face painting & refreshments! Everything set up in the parking lot at Living Waters Church. There will be separate hunts for age groups 0-12 that way everyone has a fair chance at getting their baskets full! Please bring your own basket or bag! Cookies & Carrot Cake will be served along with lemonade & punch! Seating will be available! This is a FREE event!

Easter Egg Hunt | Sikeston
Free community Easter Egg hunt at Fellowship Baptist Church. Come have a great time hunting eggs full of candy and toys and enjoy a free hot dog and hear the Easter story. Elementary age children will hunt eggs at 10:00 a.m. Then we will give out prizes and read the Easter story. At 10:45, pre-school age children will have their own egg hunt and prizes.

Easter Egg Hunt | Karnak
Come out to the Main Brothers Campground and bring your little ones from ages 0-10 to enjoy our Easter Hunt.

26th Easter Eggstravaganza | Oakdale
This 20-acre Egg Hunt will start at 2 pm. It’s open to kids ages 3-8. You’ll also find plenty of food, crafts, a petting zoo, kiddie train, music, and a raffle. For $2, you can take a tour through the Easter Egg Factory. You’ll stroll through the wood chipped path in the woods, across bridges, past jellybean and marshmallow trees to see where E. Bunny creates his magic!

Community Easter Egg Hunt | Red Bud
The Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Ratz Memorial Park in Red Bud, April 13, at 1:00 p.m. There will be three age groups: 3 & under, 4 – 6 and 7 – 10 with staggered start times. We will have several activities: Bounce House, Balloon Twisting, Temporary Tattoos, Face Painting and Petting Zoo. All activities are FREE and sponsored by Buena Vista National Bank and the Red Bud Rotary!

Saturday, April 20

Adult Easter Egg Hunt | Cobden
Why should we let the kiddos have all the fun? Enjoy a wine tasting for $5 and receive a ticket to find an egg in our yard. Everyone will be lucky! Prizes range from gift cards and drinks to wine-themed merchandise.

Optimist Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt | Pinckneyville
The hunt starts at 10:00 a.m. at Quillman Football Field at Pinckneyville Community High School (please note location change!). It’s for kids ages 2-8. Eager hunters will be searching for candy eggs, plastic eggs with candy and money, and other surprises. The hunting areas will be separated into three seconds: one for ages 2-3, one for ages 4-5, and one for ages 6-8. You are encouraged to arrive early as the hunt will begin promptly at 10 a.m.

Sunday, April 21

83rd Annual Easter Sunrise Service | Alto Pass
Please join us for the Easter Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. Sunday, April 21. There will be fellowship and refreshments in the Welcome Center following the Service.

Easter Egg Hunt & BBQ at Sunfield Baptist Church | DuQuoin
There will be an egg hunt with THOUSANDS of candy-filled eggs shortly after Sunday service. There will also be several giveaways including a brand new Apple iPad, an Xbox One S and lots of gift cards. All you have to do to be eligible to win is be a visitor at Sunfield Baptist Church and show up to service at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served after church and will include pulled pork and sides from Fenton’s. The kids can also enjoy any of the three bounce houses (bonus! one of them is also suitable for adults!).

Patti’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt | Grand Rivers
Patti’s Settlement Easter Egg hunt is back at the Settlement. Age groups will be divided up and the Easter Bunny will be hopping around for photos and fun! The Easter Egg hunt will begin PROMPTLY at 11:00 am. Everyone is invited! We love to see all the little ones as we look forward to this event each year! The Settlement Shops will be open and we would love to see you!
