6 Reasons to Fly From the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport

  • The airport is easy to access. Cape Girardeau Regional Airport is located right off Interstate 55.
  • Long and short-term parking is FREE. You don’t need to register. Simply park your vehicle in the lot in front of the terminal.
  • This is a full-service airport with a qualified staff that can help you get from point A to point B.
  • TSA screenings are quick and efficient. You won’t experience any long lines here. Heartland Weekend’s Nichole Cartmell says that’s usually the worst part of flying. But at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport, it took Nichole about 5 minutes to get through TSA for a full flight to Chicago.
  • Chicago is easier to visit. “You’re in the air and on the ground again in no time,” Heartland Weekend’s Nichole Cartmell says. “We took the mid-day flight, and were able to enjoy all of the must-see sights before the sun even fully set.”
  • Travel onward. From Chicago’s O’Hare Airport you can connect to cities like Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Miami and more. In fact, travelers can enjoy seamless access to more than 500 daily departures to more than 150 destinations around the world.
