Attempting to break a world record
A world record could be broken during the rally. That’s the goal!
Bikes will line up on Main Street in downtown Cape Girardeau starting around 11 a.m. There will also be a pre-rally party going on with food and drink specials at Hotshots.
Kickstands will go up at 3:15 and the group will make their way through downtown and to the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge into Illinois. Then turn around and come back.
Organizers hope to have a record number of bikes on the bridge at the same time. To break the record, they’ll have to fit over 525 bikes on the bridge!
From there, the group will caravan back to the dealership in Scott City to continue the fun.
You don't have to be a motorcycle enthusiast to take part in the 2018 Freedom Rally. The event features a lot of great entertainment and plenty of food and drink, so everyone is invited to come out and have fun.
The best part? All the money raised will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Girardeau.
